Sean Dyche admitted Burnley played into West Broms hands after seeing them thrashed 4-0 on Monday Night Football at The Hawthorns. Colin Rea Jersey . The Lancashire side were second best for the entire contest and after falling behind to Matt Phillips early opener, James Morrison, Darren Fletcher and Salomon Rondon added to the score.West Brom looked strongest when absorbing pressure then hitting on the break, with Rondon in particular a threat when the hosts came forward. Dyche believes that was exactly what his opposite number Tony Pulis wanted and was irritated by the fact his team was sucked in.He said: Weirdly, we got drunk on trying to play too much. It sounds mad but we were trying to overplay against a side that wanted us to do that. Matt Phillips puts West Brom 1-0 up against Burnley Tonys teams want you to do that. They want to back in and wait for the chance to counter. They did it well and we actually played into their hands, despite our coaches explaining to their players they would do that. Its sometimes the frustration of being a manager and a coach. You put these sessions on designed for that not to happen and it does. West Brom 4-0 Burnley Its the strange psychology of football. We were miles off it tonight. Credit to them - they were stronger in all departments than us.Burnleys latest defeat means they have scored just once on the road since their return to the top flight and taken only one point in a 0-0 draw at Manchester United. At home, by contrast, they have taken 13 points from a possible 21 and Dyche wants his players to take their confidence at Turf Moor with them when they go on their travels. I broke my leg at 17 here as a young professional at Nottingham Forest.Ive never had a result since. Its one of the rare grounds Ive never had anything at and at the back of my mind, its hard to get that out of your head. That wasnt an enjoyable experience and neither was that tonight. Weve got to learn about going away and taking our performances at home away. Salomon Rondon scores West Broms fourth goal in their biggest Premier League win for more than two years The organisational design of the team is generally good, theres a good physicality to the group but it doesnt chart away whereas at home, we perform very well.I reflect on a really below-par performance and you cant afford to do that. Weve had that twice this season, once at Southampton and once here. James Morrison of West Brom (left) celebrates with Jose Salomon Rondon Unfortunately they were both on Sky, although we had two good home games on Sky against Arsenal and Watford, when we played very well.Away, weve not been as good and you saw tonight you cant play like that at this level against good sides.Upgrade to Sky Sports now and get 12 months half price. Roesers immediate departure was announced Tuesday by the NBA. The league announced plans last week to appoint a CEO to oversee the franchise in Sterlings absence. "This will provide an opportunity for a new CEO to begin on a clean slate and for the team to stabilize under difficult circumstances," NBA spokesman Mike Bass said. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver banned Sterling for life, fined him $2.5 million and urged owners to force him to sell the Clippers a week ago, responding to league-wide outrage over racist comments made by the 80-year-old real-estate mogul. Sterling is the NBAs longest-tenured owner after buying the Clippers in 1981. Roeser, one of the Clippers alternate governors, is one of the leagues longest-tenured executives, having just completed his 30th season with the team. Roeser has been a loyal frontman for Sterling since the franchises days in San Diego, and he stood by Sterling during every controversial stretch of the owners career. Only radio and television play-by-play announcer Ralph Lawler has worked for the Clippers longer than the 54-year-old Roeser, who became team president in 2007. But Roeser infuriated many longtime Clippers employees last week after Sterlings private conversation was made public by TMZ. While nearly everyone else was reacting with outrage, Roeser released a statement questioning whether the recordings of Sterling were legitimate, while simultaneously apologizing on Sterlings behalf for sentiments about Magic Johnson on the recordings. Kyle Hendricks Jersey. Roesers statement was sympathetic to Sterling and criticized V. Stiviano, Sterlings longtime associate and the other voice on the recordings. Clippers coach Doc Rivers said Roesers statement upset many loyal Clippers employees who had been horrified by Sterlings comments. Rivers held meetings with much of the Clippers front-office staff last week while Sterling was ousted, encouraging them to keep working for the franchise. Roeser joined the organization in 1984 from an accounting firm. Two years later, he became executive vice-president, overseeing all facets of the teams business operations. He has been president of the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation since it began in 1994. He helped bring Rivers to Los Angeles from the Boston Celtics last June, and was part of the acquisition of All-Star guard Chris Paul in 2011. Roeser also oversaw the development and construction of the teams training facility that opened in 2008. Rivers is the Clippers senior vice-president of basketball operations, working alongside executive vice-president of player personnel Gary Sacks on the basketball side of the teams operations. The Clippers overcame the distraction of Sterlings banishment to outlast Golden State in a seven-game first-round series on Saturday night. After just one day off, they returned to the court and trounced Oklahoma City 122-105 on the road Monday night in the opener of their Western Conference semifinal series. ' ' '
